The Perch is a large scale commercial installation created for Company, featuring curated vignettes of found and handmade objects. This space was created intentionally to invoke curiosity in a space for the tenants of Company’s innovation hub in New York City.
The space consists of approximately 200 linear feet of custom walnut shelving designed by ShOp Architects. The shelves are filled with an eclectic blend of objects and styled to perfection. Each cube, carefully designed, was documented individually prior to installation date.
The process began with planning and collecting. It took several buying trips to hunt down hundreds of unique vintage objects. Items were curated into over 70 individual vignettes with an overall eclectic vision in mind. Each cube was carefully documented and shipped to location on Madison Ave., adjacent to Grand Central Station in New York City.
